Stunning panorama (Zita Pass)

Staiti is located in the southernmost point of the Aspromonte National Park in the Brazzano river valley. The name Staiti derives from the “Stayti” family who ruled the territory in the 16th century.

The step of the Zita or "the step of the fiancée" tells a sad story from the Middle Ages of the death of a girl named Caterina. The story tells of a girl who kills herself because she doesn't want to marry the man chosen for her. Legend says that she was in love with someone else.
