Bivouac that you come across while climbing Mount Legnone

A small stone hut located along the climb to Monte Legnone. Inside, there are a few benches, a stove (not in great condition), and a fireplace. It's spacious enough to accommodate a small group for a break or shelter in case of inclement weather. Located in a scenic and relatively sheltered area, it's a great place to take a break and/or refreshments before tackling the more technical section to the summit or during the descent.

Small church right at the top of Legnoncino, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Legnone, the lake and the surrounding valleys. The small church is dedicated to one of 7 hermit brothers who lived in remote places on the mountains but visible from each other, who helped evangelize the Lario area

The crossbeam of this summit cross is inscribed with an inscription that (freely translated) means in German: "In this sign you will win." The text, as well as the "Chi Rho" sign ("PX", an abbreviation for Christ in Greek) at the intersection of the vertical and horizontal beams, refer far back into the history of early Christianity: At the beginning of the fourth century, Emperor Constantine is said to have experienced this sign and the words in a vision before he defeated his rival emperor Maxentius at the Battle of the Milvian Bridge.

A nice place to take a short break before the climb. We also spotted ibexes here.

Wonderful view and ideal for staying longer and enjoying

Wonderful walk, done on 06/07/24. I didn't reach the top, I was missing 100 meters of altitude, as the ridge was snow-covered and very sloping, and since I was alone I preferred not to risk it, certainly to be done again without snow.
