A stopover and refreshment point before climbing to Lago Moro or Corno Stella. The self-service kitchen is excellent, with cakes that are out of this world. The terrace offers a breathtaking view.

The Rifugio Baita Neel (or Baita Bassa dell'Alpe Nevel) is located in the upper Valcanale, along the path that goes up to Lake Branchino. The hut has twelve beds (eight in the mezzanine and four, two of which are bunk beds, in a room on the ground floor), a gas and wood stove with dishes and pots, a bathroom with shower, heating with a wood stove and fireplace, electric light with photovoltaic panels. Outside there is a barbecue and a wooden table with benches.

Well-kept alpine hut, it offers, in addition to the workplace for shepherds in summer, also educational functions. A stop with a snack is always worth it.

The Laghi Gemelli refuge is one of the most famous refuges in the Bergamo area. It is located on the shores of the lakes of the same name, once divided, now incorporated into a single large lake. The refuge offers hikers a hospitable and warm welcome seasoned with traditional cuisine based on local products. A circular route starts from Carona which passes by this refuge and various lakes, one more beautiful than the other. Along the path you pass through thick woods and green pastures on the slopes of majestic peaks that dominate the surrounding landscape.

On weekdays it is possible to eat well and quite quietly.

The Salomon terrace is a panoramic point of passage, halfway between Foppolo and the Moro lake from which you can then continue towards the Stella horn or close a ring by heading first towards the Montebello lakes, then to the Trout lake and finally returning to the Salomon terrace. The ski lifts end here and the landscape of the surrounding valleys is very fascinating.
