A 1,029-meter peak in the Orobie Alps, Corno Medale is located in the Coltignone group and can be reached via a well-known via ferrata. The latter is challenging due to its verticality and exposure, but very rewarding once completed. From the summit you have a great view.

Stunning rock face with a magnificent view of Lecco and its surroundings. You can climb it with a beautiful and very exposed via ferrata or with two paths behind the Medale itself.

Beautiful via ferrata, difficult grade, very exposed and vertical. The metal equipment is perfectly balanced, not too much and not too little, just the right amount to maintain the difficulty grade D. The via ferrata lasts about two hours. There are no escape routes. The approach is short, about 30 minutes. Two descent options, from the top to the right towards S. Martino, or to the left with a steep path, partially equipped. It faces south and the sun beats down relentlessly.

Visited whilst nestled in the clouds and the atmosphere was truly surreal. Worth a second visit to see the view.
