The well is one of the few things that remains intact among the ruins of the Visconti Castle and it is said that one of Bernabò Visconti's daughters was thrown into it by her father because of a forbidden love affair. Located in the small village of Marne, a hamlet of Filago, the Castello di Marne was built in the first half of the 13th century by the Avogadri Guelph family. Unfortunately, much was destroyed in a fire in 2008, but you can still celebrate weddings here.
