Annone di Branza is a small town, located between the basins of the lake of the same name. It is the ideal starting point for cycling or walking along the lakeside of Annone.

Above the hamlet of Nava in Colle Brianza, following a steep path that climbs up the Chignolo valley, the small 14th century church of San Nicola rises up among the chestnut groves in a large clearing, testimony to the ancient and profound Christian devotion of the inhabitants of Colle Brianza.

It was built in the sixteenth century in place of a previous chapel of the thirteenth century, mentioned for the first time in a document of the end of the thirteenth century with the name of the Church of Santa Maria. It deserves the mosaic of San Michele Arcangelo inside. Absolutely not to be missed is the precious and rare painting on wood located inside the sacristy which dates back to the 16th century and represents an unusual subject, namely "The allegory of the Eucharistic wine". in the center are depicted the patriarch Noah while he is planting a vine, the Apostles lifting the branches from the ground and St. Peter pressing the grapes; in a tub is Christ from whose wounds blood comes out and nearby are portraits of the prelates and a king closing the barrels;
