One of my favorite circular walks, start from Ristorante Alto Matanna with a coffee, lunch at Rifugio Forte dei Marmi and back for a cold beer. Book in advance as the refugio can be busy in the summer.

The Enrico Rossi alla Pania refuge of the CAI section, in the Apuan Alps Park, built in 1923, is located on the northern slope of the Omo Morto at an altitude of 1609 m.
