Suggestive stretch of road that crosses the Porto Selvaggio Natural Park, a protected natural area of Salento characterized by a rocky and jagged coast and rich typically Mediterranean vegetation. To explore the inside of the park there are mainly paths, but there are also stretches of gravel and well-beaten roads that can also be traveled carefully by racing bikes.

The Palude del Capitano is a protected natural area located in the Porto Selvaggio Park, in Salento. It is a spunnulata, or rather a collapsed sinkhole that houses a body of brackish water fed by underground springs and the sea. The swamp is not clearly visible from the provincial road, and to enter the protected area you travel along paths that are not very easy for racing bikes.
