The amphitheater of Peccioli is a scenic sight among the Tuscan hills and the presence of the enormous human "half bust"...

Inaugurated in 2007, the Peccioli amphitheater is inspired by ancient Greek theaters, with tuff slabs anchored to the ground without cement. Making it even more spectacular is one of the imposing "Presenze", monumental human figures that seem to watch over the landscape. From here begins the road to the Serre countryside, immersed in a timeless atmosphere.

Naturaliter, “Presenze”, 2011, art installation, cement fibers, Via della Fila and Anfiteatro Fonte Mazzola; Legoli, Waste Disposal and Treatment Plant The idea that new life can be born from waste was the inspiration behind the creation of the four sculptures in polystyrene and expanded polyurethane, covered with cement fibers resistant to external agents that, over the years, have been placed around the Green Triangle inside the Legoli waste disposal and treatment plant. These gigantic sculptures depict human figures, “Presenze”, at the waste disposal and treatment plant, a place not only of destruction but also an opportunity for rebirth through the external appearance of the place itself.

Interesting village with lots of art and culture

The gaze of Peccioli where dozens of eyes hanging on the wall under the main facade of the Pieve di San Verano look towards the West and, for the artist, towards the future. Undoubtedly the installation has an immediate impact and is certainly the most appreciated by the inhabitants of Peccioli, being its protagonists.

Crossing the Era River is not possible at any point as it has a fairly constant flow throughout the year. Perhaps it is possible during dry periods, that is, in summer. The road that continues on the territory of Terricciola is not reachable.
