The Conero Riviera with Loreto and Recanati is worth a visit.

After passing Leopardi's house, take a short path that leads to the garden of the ancient Monastery of S. Stefano, where the poet set his famous poem L'Infinito.

The Basilica of the Santissima Annunziata, or Basilica of Santa Maria a Piè di Chienti, is a parish church located in the municipality of Montecosaro, in the hamlet of Montecosaro Scalo, in the province of Macerata. It represents one of the masterpieces of Romanesque architecture in the Marche region, and owes its name to the Chienti River that flows nearby.

Beautiful, worth a visit, and also used for shows in the summer evenings.

Located in the square of Porto Recanati, the castle of medieval origins takes its name from Frederick II, King of Swabia, who in 1229 donated the lands on which the municipality of Recanati stands. It was built in the 13th century with the function of protecting the coast of Recanati from the incursions of Pirates and in particular the Turks.

Montecosaro

The road that connects Montefano and Filottrano offers a suggestive view of a landscape characterized by gentle slopes, vineyards and cultivated fields. Here you can admire a typical rural expanse, with ancient villages scattered among the countryside and the hills of the Marche hinterland, while the mixed vegetation of olive groves and agricultural crops blends harmoniously with the more distant mountainous landscapes.

From this panoramic point at the foot of Conero you can enjoy a splendid view of the coast between Ancona and Portonovo. The latter in particular is a splendid bay immersed in the greenery of the regional park.
