The view of Lake Pera from Sella Sissanis, the crossing of the Creta Bordaglia scree slope, the Giramondo Pass, and then the pearl of Lake Bordaglia—all in one loop—is a delight. The trail is always well-marked and very popular, but it's not for everyone; a minimum level of fitness is required.

A 360° view of the valleys of Sappada, Comelico, and Alta Pusteria: a vast plateau of peace and light, best explored by e-bike or on foot. The final few meters are along large grassy meadows, after leaving the trails at Forcella Monte Zovo or the DeDo refuge.

From the top of Mount Zovo, which with its almost 2,000 meters of altitude dominates the Piave and Comelico valleys, the panorama extends 360° all around for kilometers and kilometers. Here there is a small Madonna and a curious carved wooden totem, depicting legendary beings and spirits typical of local tales and traditions. There is also a table with benches to rest and enjoy the view before continuing with the descent.

The beautiful lake can be easily circumnavigated. I recommend walking along the shore to admire the view from all angles.

The Tenente Giuseppe Fabbro refuge, located at an altitude of 1,783 metres, is located on the Razzo plateau, near the Ciampigotto saddle. It is nestled between the Cadore and Carnia mountains, surrounded by large expanses of rhododendrons, blueberries and mountain pines. It offers fascinating panoramic views of the Frison valley and the surrounding peaks, including the Brentoni and Terza Grande. the Alta Via 6 of the Dolomites passes by this refuge which represents an ideal base for relaxing walks and beautiful excursions on equipped alpine paths and routes. The kitchen offers home-made dishes such as canederli, casunziei and game, accompanied by Venetian wines.

A wonderful alpine lake surrounded by greenery, an excellent place to take a break.
