A beautiful bike path, right on the dike. Here and there, you can even reach the banks of the Gera River. The path is paved. Caution is advised when encountering oncoming traffic, but it offers beautiful, untouched nature and panoramic views of the surrounding fields.

Preacher's Church, Erfurt The Preacher's Church was originally built in the 13th century and is now a Protestant church in the city center of the Thuringian state capital Erfurt. It represents the ideals of mendicant order architecture in a particularly clear form and monumental design and is one of the most beautiful and significant examples of this in the German-speaking world. A very important factor is that, despite the almost two hundred year construction period from 1270 to around 1450, construction continued consistently in the forms of the early period. The result is a uniform, closed overall impression that is determined by the width and depth of the space, which is clearly structured by pillars and vaults. The keystones show coats of arms of Erfurt patrician families and numerous guilds that contributed to the construction of the nave with their donations. The Dominican monastery was built at about the same time as the church was built.
