1월 30, 2025, Mulino al Pizzon Ecomuseo
In Fratta Polesine, at the confluence of two waterways, the Canalbianco and the Scortico, there is the Mulino al Pizzon, the only example of a ground-level mill in the province of Rovigo. The building took shape between 1851 and 1853 when six citizens of Fratta Polesine decided to financially support, together with the Municipality of Fratta, the construction of the mill to restore the river route compromised in 1823 following a disastrous breach of the Scortico canal. In 1856 the Municipality of Fratta became the owner of the mill and, over the years, thanks to technological innovation, it underwent important changes with the installation of electric motors (1950), while maintaining the water traction system. In 1964 the mill ceased its activity. In 2004 the Cooperativa Turismo & Cultura of Rovigo promoted the recovery of the mill complex and reopened it to the public. Unfortunately, with the fire of 2018, part of the structure and machinery were destroyed. In 2019 it will be reopened as an Ecomuseum with various socio-cultural functions (workshops, guided tours, bookshop ...). Part of the complex is used as a restaurant and inn where you can taste the products and dishes of the Polesine cuisine.

Between the small towns of Gaiba and Stienta (4,000 inhabitants between them), this paved road allows you to cycle or walk in nature on the left bank of the Po, in complete tranquility. Between Rovigo and Ferrara, the plain becomes truly flat: here at least you can enjoy glimpses of the floodplains and sharecropping houses.

The 16th-century building, owned by the Contrari family from Ferrara and subsequently inherited by the Pepoli family, has sixteenth-century features and is linked to a construction typology that is rare in the Veneto and quite exceptional in Polesine. The architectural complex is very harmonious and enjoys its original solitude, which has made its vicinity one of the most evocative corners of the entire Polesine area. Climbing to the top of the tower, you can enjoy the view of the entire surrounding plain, from Tartaro to the Po.

Excellent lendinara/Fratta polesine cycle path. You can continue on one side towards saguedo to reach the Adige or continue towards Badia polesine on the other towards Villamarzana, polesella and reach the Po. A stop in Fratta polesine obligatory for the beauty of the villas, Villa Badoera in primis

An important historical and artistic center, the town of Lendinara is also known as "Athens of Polesine" for its artistic treasures. The most important monuments are the Sanctuary of the Beata Vergine del Pilastrello and the Cathedral of Santa Sofia (its 92.5-metre-high bell tower is the second highest in Veneto and the ninth in Italy.)

Villa Badoèr, known as La Badoèra, is a Venetian villa located in Fratta Polesine (Rovigo), designed by the architect Andrea Palladio in approximately 1554-1555 and built in the years 1556-1563 commissioned by Francesco Badoèr. It is the first villa in which the architect fully used a pronaos with a pediment on the facade, as well as the only one built in the Polesine area. The rooms on the main floor are finely decorated with "grotesques of beautiful invention from Giallo Fiorentino". The building, together with the other Palladian villas in the Veneto, has been included in the UNESCO world heritage list since 1996. The northern colonnade of the villa has hosted the national archaeological museum of Fratta Polesine since 2009. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).
