The coast of Punta Pizzo is a protected natural area south of Gallipoli. It is characterized by a rocky and jagged coast, with small inlets and caves, and the sea is of an intense and clear blue, rich in marine fauna and flora. The tip of the promontory can only be reached by foot or bicycle paths, where there is also a sixteenth-century coastal defensive tower.

Spiaggia Pizzo is a corner of paradise in Salento. Located south of Gallipoli, it offers a beach of fine white sand, bathed by a transparent and clean sea. The lido is equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds, showers and toilets, but there are also stretches of free beach along the coast. From here it is worth taking a walk to Punta della Suina to the north, or Punta Pizzo to the south.

Punta della Suina is one of the most beautiful and famous beaches of Salento a few kilometers away from Gallipoli. It offers a breathtaking view of the sea and the beach is made up of fine golden sand, surrounded by a pine forest that offers shade and coolness. It is an unmissable destination for those who want to fully experience the magic of Salento.

On the highest point of the Serra di Casarano, in the Manfio district in the Ruffano area, stands the characteristic Crypt of the Crucifix, or of Santa Costantina, a cavity of natural origin transformed by the Byzantines into a place of worship around the year 1000.

It is easier to find information regarding the opening of the crypt in the summer season but, the closed gate still allows a glimpse of the internal composition even if only up to a certain point.
