Valsanzibio was brought to splendor in the second half of the 17th century by the Venetian nobleman Zuane Francesco Barbarigo and his son Antonio following a solemn vow made in 1631 to escape the plague (1630/31). The eldest son, Gregory, a cardinal and future saint, inspired the lofty symbolism of the monumental layout by the papal architect and fountain designer Luigi Bernini and wanted the garden of Valsanzibio to be a monumental emblem of the path to perfection that leads man from Error to Truth, from Ignorance to Revelation. Over sixty statues, mostly by Merengo, and an equal number of smaller sculptures are integrated into the architecture, waterfalls, fountains, and water features on 15 hectares of unspoiled hillside nature.

Also nicknamed the Gate of the Euganean Hills Park, Battaglia Terme owes its importance above all to the waterways that cross it, as well as to the presence of the only natural thermal cave in the Euganean area, known since the Middle Ages. Battaglia Terme was a center of intense commercial activity thanks to the presence of the Battaglia, Bisatto and Vingenzone canals. The city is also known for the presence of the Catajo Castle and Villa Selvatico Sartori, important historical buildings.

Villa Giovannelli Colonna is a rural palace in Noventa Padovana in the Veneto region near Padua, northern Italy, once famous for its sumptuous decorations. The villa was commissioned by the Giovanelli family to the architect Antonio Gaspari at the end of the 17th century. In 1738, on the occasion of Maria Amalia of Saxony, the daughter of the Polish King August II the Strong visited the villa, which was associated with King Charles of Naples and Sicily, the future Charles III. From Spain, Andrea Giovanelli and his brother Benedetto were married, decorated the facade of the villa with the festive portico and a precious entrance staircase by Giorgio Massari. On the balustrades are six allegorical statues representing the five senses: the Belvedere (sight/man), Il Odorato (smell/man), Il Tatto (touch/woman), L'Udire (hearing/woman), Il Gusto (Taste/Female) who are observed by La Ragione (top right). They were executed by Antonio Tarsia, Antonio Gai and the brothers Paolo and Giuseppe Groppelli.

One of the most beautiful gardens in Italy. Created as a promise to God to try and save his family from the black death. Each area of the garden has religious significance. Owned by a famous italian show jumper. Definitely worth stopping
