The popular Franzl spring is located at the entrance to the Oelsnitzgrund. Clear, clean water bubbles out of it. It tastes good and you can refill your water bottle here. This spring water is said to be of high quality.

In the Altenburg dialect, the word “Mutz” refers to an animal without a tail, here the pig. Especially in Holzland, the “Mutz” is jokingly mentioned as the supplier of the meat for the Mutzbraten, an “egg-laying woolly milk pig that is similar in nature to the Bavarian Wolperdinger”.
