Between Bonsig and Zietschkuppe, peonies bloom from May to June. Some perennial peonies may bloom as early as early May. In cooler locations, the flowers open from late May to early June and then bloom well into June.

The nearly 6 km circular hiking trail leads through the beautiful beech forest of the Tautenburger Forest and can be combined with the Planet Trail. It's also accessible by bike, of course.

This bench is perfect for basking in the sun on a sunny day and simply enjoying the idyllic tranquility. 😊 With a little luck, you might even catch the sunset in the evening. Since this bench is located right next to the hiking trail that leads to the peonies and orchids, you can also use it to reflect on your fabulous experiences in nature right there and feel the bliss in your heart. 🥰🪻🌹

This bench offers a great place to rest and enjoy the beautiful hilly landscape around Löberschütz, either to refresh yourself before the climb to the Zietschkuppe or to recharge your batteries after the descent. This bench invites you to linger, as you please. 😊 Tip: The westward view of the bench is perfect for enjoying the colorful sunset under suitable conditions. 🌄

A must-see in an idyllic location! Just like the whole of Tautenburg!

An easy-to-walk and well-paved path. There are enough places to sit and 3 touring stamp stations, as well as nicely designed information boards about astronomy. But since you are mostly walking through the forest and the path offers little variety, the tour can be a little boring at times. In winter, the route is definitely good for cross-country skiing and in summer for jogging.
