6월 9, 2025, Forte Diamante
The highest of the forts in Genoa and the only one not in the city municipality, but in that of Sant'Olcese. Easily accessible from the Baita del Diamante (Trensasco), Camporsella or from the Parco del Peralto, it offers truly stunning views and sunsets.

Going up from the asphalt side as you say, once at the top of the mountain, is there the possibility of continuing down the other side? Thank you

It is worth visiting it at least once. It is the fort that dominates the entire Parco delle Mura from above. In my opinion it is not the most beautiful (for example it is easily surpassed by Forte Sperone) because the internal rooms are inaccessible and the view over the city is covered by the two peaks of Forte Fratello Minore and the former Forte Fratello Maggiore; on the contrary, the view of the surrounding mountains is remarkable. The route to reach the fort starting from via del Peralto (Righi) and continuing on the Sentiero delle Farfalle or on the Sentiero dell'Acquedotto is very beautiful. There are also connections with Begato and Trensasco. The 15 hairpin bends to reach the top of the hill are not all that strenuous.

Great salitona and on the top a "diamond" to be grasped.

Forte Diamante, reachable from the fort's older brother with a nice ascent back but simple, the descent on the very direct route is nice, steep but not too complicated

Monte Fasce (832 meters above sea level) is one of the symbols of the city of Genoa. The radio and television repeaters that occupy the long and narrow summit ridge are visible from all over the city. The name derives from the presence of white limestone layers that emerge among the grass and shrubs of its slopes and which give the mountain a "bands" appearance. From its top you can enjoy a splendid view of the Ligurian Riviera and the Apennines.

Top of 911 meters above sea level from where you can enjoy a spectacular view! The view ranges from the Ligurian hinterland to the western Alps on one side to the Gulf of Genoa and the east on the other. The well-marked path starts from the asphalted road that climbs after Cornua houses towards Genoa. Keeping to the right, the path begins after 500 meters. No difficulty. But be careful there are no water points. Stock up at Case Cornua.

From the Casa del Romano the path develops along the ridge that borders the Ligurian side. Cross the pass of the three crosses and pass the detour to Caprile. We climb up to an altitude of 1,510 m and we find a crossroads where the marked path branches off to the left even if not very visible. However, both routes join later when the wood ends near a bench. The path here is clear and you can easily reach the large cross on the top of Monte Antola (1,597 m). Those who want to can continue downhill following the signpost for the Antola Park Refuge to reach the characteristic Church of San Pietro, built in 2000 near the old Bensa Refuge, now abandoned. Here we find a porch useful in case of emergency and a small picnic area where you can have a packed lunch. We travel the way back on the way back.
