Beautiful coastal stretch with cycle path

Piazza del Popolo is the heart of the city of Fermo and has a clear sixteenth-century style, with linear and harmonious buildings in every detail. It is 135 meters long and 34 meters wide and is bordered upstream and downstream by two imposing sixteenth-century brick porticos. Walking on the ancient pavement or under the beautiful porticos, catapulted back in time, you can have the sensation of breathing the same air that blew when it was still under construction.

formerly Piazza Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza San Martino, it is the main square of the city of Fermo.

The Capodarco road, famous for the Capodarco GP, has some really tough walls but at the same time beautiful to tackle.

At this point the cycle path ends, which for about 20 km connects Marina Palmense to Porto Sant'Elpidio (Risacca village area); work is underway to build a cycle/pedestrian bridge over the Chienti river, so from 2025 it will be possible to go north for another 8 km or so to Fontespina without ever having to travel on the state road.

The Fermo walls are challenging to tackle but with training they can be done without too much effort. However, you need good legs and breath.
