The barrel bridge called the shard bridge was built in 1806, destroyed during the Second World War by the Germans and rebuilt in the same way in 1946. Previously, the Via Flaminia passed lower down, in the group of houses of Fiume, where there was a station for changing horses. From here you can see an enchanting landscape on the cliff below.

Beautiful area with zero traffic

Costacciaro is a medieval village in the province of Perugia, located along the historic Via Flaminia in the Monte Cucco Regional Park with a museum dedicated to the park. It is a starting point for many paths to visit the famous karst caves of Monte Cucco.

The Fossato pass is an Apennine pass at 738 m that connects Umbria with the Marches, between Fossato di Vico and Fabriano. It's an ancient and scenic road, the asphalt is a little worn and there are stretches of cobblestone on the hairpin bends.

This deep gorge has been dug over the centuries by the Sentino river which descends from Scheggia and then continues to form the famous gorge of the Frasassi Caves. The Gola del Corno divides the massif of Monte Catria from the nearby Monte Motette and from the other peaks of Monte Cucco.
