As a memorial to the many dead, such monuments or war memorials - such as this "Monumento ai caduti" in Ancona, built in the form of an ancient round temple - are still very important today. "Now, Lord, you let your servant depart in peace, as you have said..." says the so-called "Hymn of Simeon" (Luke's Gospel, chapter 2, verse 29). The people who are remembered here, however, did not depart in peace, but became victims of war and tyranny. Many of these monuments that one encounters on the way are a testimony - still significant and current today - to the horror of war and tyranny. They all have two essential functions, and this for each generation anew: -1- Commemorate and remember the victims -2- Remind us to keep the peace

From this panoramic point at the foot of Conero you can enjoy a splendid view of the coast between Ancona and Portonovo. The latter in particular is a splendid bay immersed in the greenery of the regional park.

Small medieval village whose peculiarity is the "La Scarpa" walkway. In August 2024 it is being restored, when complete it will offer very interesting views.
