At this point, just above Siusi allo Sciliar, the hairpin bends towards the Alpe di Siusi begin, a typical asphalt climb for those who cycle in the area. From Siusi allo Sciliar, the climb to the 1,841-metre high Alpe is about nine kilometres away and the average gradient is 8%.

In Compaccio (Compatsch in German), you can enjoy a splendid view of the Alpe di Siusi. This is also the perfect place to start nature trails and hikes or bike tours. You are in the municipality of Castelrotto and some of the peaks you see belong to the Sciliar massif.

Between Alpe di Siusi, Monte Pana and Santa Cristina in Val Gardena there are several panoramic points on the Sassolungo (Langkofel in German). This is one of them: perfectly reachable also with gravel bikes, it is immersed in nature and the Sassolungo seems to look you in the face.
