It is an ideal place for families and nature lovers. - **Lake Stage**: The lake stage on the site is a popular venue that regularly hosts concerts and festivals. A really great cycle path through the valley of the Warmen Steinach. The newly tarred cycle path runs a little above the river. There are beautiful views of the opposite slopes of the Oschenberg almost the entire way. Highly recommended!

Oskar is located right on the market square. It was once a town hall, then a police station and is now a rustic Franconian inn. The cuisine is regional and highly recommended, the prices are fair and the service is very courteous.

There are a lot of excursion options from here. You can either ride your mountain bike along a trail towards Mehlmeisel/Fichtelberg or along the Jägersteig (experienced only!) towards Kemnath. The wildlife park is opposite and the place is also recommended as a starting point for hikers.

For around six centuries it has been one of the festival city's landmarks: the Old Palace with its courtyard in the historic city center of Bayreuth on Maximilianstrasse. Until the middle of the 18th century it served as the residence of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Bayreuth. Today the building is the seat of the tax office.

The inn on Maximilianstrasse in the heart of the city center is a piece of city history: The building is one of the oldest on the market square - its roots can be traced back at least 600 years. Since 1999, the Wenk and Bauernfeind families of restaurateurs have been giving the building, which was once the town hall and police station, a rustic character. There is a cozy beer garden, a light-flooded winter garden, a lively bar and cozy parlors.
