The Rosario Church is a religious building in Osilo, a city in northwestern Sardinia. Danger! The hiking trail is (now in summer 2023) completely overgrown, especially with blackberry bushes and thistles. Absolutely not recommended unless you have a machete.

Unfortunately, the church itself cannot be visited from the inside. But the view of the landscape is just great!

From the small old church you have a wonderful view of Osilo and the Castello Malaspina as well as Monte Tuffudesu and the Chiesa di Bonaria.

The walk from Osilo to the church is definitely worth it. Unfortunately it is closed and can only be admired from the outside. A nice round trip and a magnificent view up there. We were lucky and got drinks in the refugio just before the summit, since it's actually closed now in the off-season.

The church Chiesa di Nostra Signora di Bonaria is located on the 766 meter high Monte Tuffudesu. It was built in the Middle Ages as thanks that the plague was over. - Great! The ascent is partly crisp, there are sections with a 15% incline, depending on the weather it is also incredibly hot, two older men pointed to me and made a sweat gesture and laughed. Gut was really maybe a bit optimistic about itching high in mid-August. I had to carry the bike for the last 200 meters because the path is a long staircase. But there is a really nice view over the north-west of Sardinia at the top. The church cannot be entered, everything is barricaded. Apparently the church is no longer in use.
