On a bike tour through Stralsund, one inevitably comes to the roundabout with the ship's propeller, a prominent landmark and symbol of the city's maritime tradition. At its center stands a ship's propeller, approximately six meters long and weighing approximately 36 tons, cast by Mecklenburger Metallguss GmbH in Waren an der Müritz. Originally intended as a spare propeller for a container ship belonging to the Maersk shipping company, the propeller eventually arrived in Stralsund as a second casting and was installed in the so-called shipyard roundabout. For cyclists, the roundabout is not only a practical landmark but also an impressive photo opportunity, highlighting Stralsund's close connection with shipbuilding.

The town hall in Grimmen in Western Pomerania is one of the testimonies of medieval brick Gothic architecture. Dendrochronological examinations of the wooden roof structure determined the felling date of the oldest rafters: 1393. It is therefore assumed that the tree dates from around 1400.
