Beautiful village in Tuscia, very safe due to the absence of thefts...!

Vitorchiano, an ancient center a few kilometers from Viterbo, is one of the many but charming villages of Tuscia. The beautiful historic center is characterized by the gray color of peperino and by alleys, arches, profferli and very suggestive squares. Equally suggestive and, sometimes unexpected, are the viewpoints towards the gorge of the Fosso Acqua Fredda, a tributary of the Vezza River. For some years it has been included in the list of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy. https://www.lazionascosto.it/borghi-piu-belli-del-lazio/vitorchiano/

Stunning village, departure and arrival of the Silent Villages path.

From the village of Tenaglie you can admire the broad panorama of the Umbrian landscape. You can visit the antiquarium archaeological museum of Tenaglie (AMAT) which houses the collection of historical finds found in the Etruscan necropolis of San Lorenzo.

The medieval town of Vitorchiano still has all the historical features of its birth which took place around the year one thousand. Walking inside means immersing yourself in a context full of charm and beauty.

Borgo located not far from the more famous Civita di Bagnoregio. Built on a tuff spur, it was abandoned following landslides, subsidence and pandemics. Today it remains a ghost town with the few houses that have remained intact.
