Starting point for the Silent Villages Trail! A beautiful route both on foot and by bike.

The gate bears the coat of arms of Vitorchiano with the inscription SPQR (for which the village received permission from Rome). The gate is part of the old wall that extends for about two hundred and fifty metres on the south side of Vitorchiano. The tower above the gate dates from the 13th century. The old city walls (Le Mura Castellane) have several towers, each built of peperino stone and dovetail battlements with loopholes in between.

The lake is artificial, generated by the dam. But it is beautiful, nestled in the green landscapes of the road that connects Orvieto and Todi. In some places the road is close, and is often used by motorcyclists and cyclists

Beautiful perfectly preserved medieval village

Baschi is a small village between the Tiber river and the Corbara lake. The view over the Tiber valley is breathtaking, and the small streets between the stone houses of the village are very suggestive. The church of San Nicolò is worth a visit where a 15th century triptych and an organ with 500 pipes are kept.

Stretch of winding and panoramic road that connects Lake Corbara with the pass at an altitude of 750 metres. Civitella del Lago dominates the hill and offers a beautiful view of the lake.
