The Temple of Santa Maria della Consolazione is located just outside the thirteenth-century walls of the town, in the southwestern part of Todi, and is one of the finest examples of Renaissance art in Umbria.

The gate bears the coat of arms of Vitorchiano with the inscription SPQR (for which the village received permission from Rome). The gate is part of the old wall that extends for about two hundred and fifty metres on the south side of Vitorchiano. The tower above the gate dates from the 13th century. The old city walls (Le Mura Castellane) have several towers, each built of peperino stone and dovetail battlements with loopholes in between.

The dome of the church of Montefiascone is visible from afar and is a beautiful architecture that mimics the dome of St. Peter's which is exactly 100 km away. Montefiascone is on the Via Francigena.

The Orvieto funicular, from Orvieto Scalo to the center of Orvieto in a few minutes with 75 seats, runs every 10 minutes on weekdays (every 15 minutes on holidays). Possibility of transporting the bike by leaving the ticket in the bag.
