This beautiful little chapel dates back to the first Roman Christians who settled in this area, as an important Roman road ran directly past the chapel's site. A church building with a rectangular chancel, star vault, and a simple, flat-roofed nave was probably built on the site in the 15th century. The core of the high altar dates back to 1647, but was rebuilt or expanded twice in its history: in 1860 and 1800, until it received its present appearance in 1860. Finally, in 2017, the bell tower was renovated, and new bells were installed as part of the renovation. Unfortunately, the church was closed today, but the beautiful interior could be viewed through a window. Overall, a peaceful place worth seeing, right next to Rieden Castle.
