The MUBIA – Biancane Geomuseum in Monterotondo Marittimo is a key exhibition center for understanding the geothermal phenomena that characterize Tuscany's Metalliferous Hills. Through educational installations and historical documents, the museum illustrates the origin, use, and natural manifestations (such as lagoons and steam emissions) of the Earth's heat.

On the highest part of the village of Sasso, we can admire the grandeur of the Church of San Bartolomeo Apostolo which, with its crenellated bell tower, announces its presence even outside the town. Before the plebeian church was built there, initially a simple feudal chapel was located here, still existing today, private property of the castle. Then, with the loss of its function as a fortified castle, Sasso was converted into a village and with this reinterpretation the chapel was integrated into a new church.
