unfortunately a tour we started enthusiastic but we came back disheartened. first we had to take a long detour because of Maremma sheepdogs and then a closed road that entered right into their property. then found the path along the river blocked due to recent flooding we had to go back and take another route a lot on asphalt. then the maximum disappointment you can't get to Rocca Sillana by bike there is a path to go only on foot of about 15 minutes uphill with wooden steps and dirt. well anyway it was a beautiful day with my bike friend Marco.

If you have a good MTB with generous travel otherwise you absolutely shouldn't do it

Geothermal springs that blow water steam due to the magma that does not flow deep under the earth's crust and heats the water. It can smell very much of sulfur, but it is a unique place that you should definitely stop and take a look.

Unpaved climb full of stones. Basically too technical for a gravel bike and better to do with an (e-)MTB, but if you can cycle well and have strong legs you can also ride this up with your gravel bike... and otherwise a beautiful walk with panoramic views towards the Mediterranean Sea at the top.

Perfect for MTB XC and Gravel

On the highest part of the village of Sasso, we can admire the grandeur of the Church of San Bartolomeo Apostolo which, with its crenellated bell tower, announces its presence even outside the town. Before the plebeian church was built there, initially a simple feudal chapel was located here, still existing today, private property of the castle. Then, with the loss of its function as a fortified castle, Sasso was converted into a village and with this reinterpretation the chapel was integrated into a new church.

Nice climb to reach the trails on the first part of the dirt road which then becomes more challenging and stony in the final part.
