Each of the summit crosses that hikers often encounter in the mountains, whether or not it depicts the body of the crucified Christ, invites passersby to a brief spiritual pause. Perhaps one or another will be able to encounter God here in a short prayer. As a prerequisite for a completely different mystical experience of encountering God, beyond such a small sacred monument, Hape Kerkeling, who made the pilgrimage on the Camino Francés in 2001, writes: “I am becoming freer here day by day (…) Through all the frequencies of emotion, I have slowly tuned myself into one frequency and had a wonderful reception. With good footwear and a bit of surefootedness, the ascent is easy. You don't have to climb. At most, you'll have to scramble a bit. A very beautiful path, but you have to look for it carefully.

A summit that is easy for experienced hikers to reach. The path over the stones is well marked with cairns. Anyone who goes up here is allowed to put up one or two cairns.

The Aguglia Tower. This imposing rocky pinnacle rises majestically and seems to touch the sky. Its rough limestone walls are reminiscent of the impressive formations of the Verdon and invite experienced climbers to take on technically demanding routes. You don't have to be a climber to appreciate the beauty of this natural monument. Even from a distance, for example from Cala Gonone, the silhouette of the Aguglia stands out clearly against the horizon. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to witness a rope team climbing the tower during a relaxing bathing trip. A sight that makes you feel both the power of nature and human ambition.

The imposing Aguglia tower rises free above Cala Goloritzé, one of the most beautiful bays in Sardinia. Its limestone walls, similar to those in the Verdon, allow for unrivaled technical slab climbing in a fantastic setting.

It is one of the most photographed Sardinian beaches in the world, and is ideal for those who love diving and snorkelling: in fact, the water has shades of green and blue, with a seabed of over 30 meters which is well visible, as well as the thousands of fish that swim in it. It is no coincidence that Cala Goloritzè has been part of the UNESCO natural heritage since 1995.
