In the diary of his pilgrimage on the Way of St. James, which was published later, the German entertainer Hape (Hans-Peter) Kerkeling also writes about the meditative experience of praying the Rosary together, which he experienced himself in the “grandiose village church, which has the makings of a cathedral” of Castildelgado (Castile). Under the date June 21, 2001, he notes: “I simply must see the only tourist attraction in town! (…) She is all the more pleased that I want to see the jewel of Castildelgado and accompanies me inside. Our tour quickly ends in front of the altar, and so the woman asks me to take a seat in one of the wonderfully cool pews. Gradually, other people enter the church. The older lady begins to pray the rosary. The monotonous chanting has a calming effect, and the constantly repeating lament gives strength, security, and peace! An authentic and unmissable refuge where we stopped during our mountain bike crossing of the Assietta with my friend. Two incredible days filled with the beauty of the surroundings and exceptional autumn light. One night at 2500m altitude at the Casa Assietta refuge, where we were welcomed like royalty by Roberto! A good night's sleep under the covers after the host had prepared an excellent dinner for us! Thank you, Roberto!

A large erratic boulder right in the middle of the parking lot at the entrance to the village (coming from the Napoleonica). It's used as a rock climbing gym and offers several climbing routes. At the base, there are a series of benches for comfortable observation of the climbers. Beyond the climbing, it's a very interesting geological feature—and a truly impressive one. Since it's impossible to miss, it's worth enjoying to the fullest.

Beautiful chapel, with interesting frescoes on the facade, on the side of the road just before entering the town of Ferrera-Moncenisio going up the Strada Reale that comes from Novalesa.
