The refuge is also open in the winter. Please note that reservations are required for lunch, and dogs are not allowed inside. The food is excellent.

The path has collapsed at one point, leaving you balancing on a narrow strip. The safety rope attached there is neither trustworthy nor practical for bikers. But this section isn't as tricky as the slipped section on the steep slope.

Sportinia is always beautiful. Reached by a hike starting from the experimental center and passing through Pian della Rocca, on August 31st we found the Rocce Nere refuge open, where we enjoyed a platter and a beer.
