Hotel Gutshaus Ludorf is a historic manor house dating back to 1698, originally built by Adam Levin von Knuth in the Danish brick Renaissance style. Today, the manor house combines historic charm with modern comfort, offering individually designed rooms and a restaurant serving regional specialties. The Müritz circular cycling route passes directly by the hotel, making it ideal for bike tours through the surrounding countryside, the Müritz National Park, and the lake district. The historic location, proximity to attractions such as the octagonal Ludorf Church and the local history museum, and the idyllic natural setting make the manor house a perfect base for combining culture, cycling, and relaxation.

The Reeck Canal is a wonderful experience by bike: Coming from Lake Müritz, the path leads along the shore to the bridge on Warener Straße, where a particularly beautiful view opens up. Here, the canal acts as a tranquil green corridor connecting the Binnenmüritz with Lake Kölpinsee. From the bridge railing, you can watch the boats glide through, while the expansive expanse of the lake looms beyond – an atmospheric moment on any bike tour around Waren.

The long history of this estate village is interwoven with the manor house built in 1698, a story that continues to this day. The last lord of the manor was Schulse von Bülow, whose grave is located nearby near the former tower castle. He died shortly before the end of World War II, just before the Russians arrived. Today, Ludorf is a romantic hotel. The oriental-style church is as much a part of the ensemble as a Tudor-style house and the farm buildings typical of an estate.

If you're lucky, the soft serve ice cream truck will be there. The plain vanilla soft serve is the best.
