Cima Mares에는 십자가와 중계기 외에는 별것 없지만, 그곳까지 올라가는 수고를 할 만한 풍경이 펼쳐집니다. 실제로 시야는 Maritime Alps에서 시작되며, 가시성이 좋을 때는 매우 선명하게 구별됩니다. 시선을 오른쪽으로 옮기면 Monviso, Cuneese의 많은 봉우리들, 그리고 Susa 계곡 하부와 마주하게 됩니다. 상부는 Orco 계곡과 Lanzo 계곡 사이의 분수령을 형성하는 Monte Soglio의 윤곽선에 가려져 있기 때문입니다. 오른쪽으로, Ceresole로 향하는 계곡 상부를 내려다보며 G. Paradiso의 위성들과 다른 작은 봉우리들을 감상할 수 있습니다. 이 봉우리들은 거의 모두 2500미터를 넘으며 장엄한 광경을 선사합니다.

To reach this point on a snowy path, it is best to have snowshoes or, if the snow is compact, crampons (I went up with crampons).

Alpette is a small, quiet village. Surrounded by forests and pastures, it lies at the gateway to the Gran Paradiso National Park. It houses an astronomy school with a permanent exhibition.

A pass that is located at the intersection of several paths. You can climb to the top of the Mares peak, or reach the chapel-refuge of San Bernardo di Mares, you can descend towards Alpette or reach the Rocche di San Martino

The Church of Santa Apollonia is a small church from the early 18th century, now abandoned and vandalized, reachable with a slight deviation from the path that leads to the Sanctuary of Belmonte

On the way there we followed a path halfway up the hill and lost the path for the final part, cutting through the rhododendrons 😄 Better to follow the track on the way back!
