These paths are truly suggestive, almost always cleaned by local bikers who go to the Villareggia mountain bike shop

The Church has been declared a national monument by the FAI. The project is by Carlo Andrea Rana (1715-1804), Royal Architect, one of the greatest exponents of Piedmontese Baroque (although he was mainly a military engineer). Initially, the most famous architect Bernardo Vittone was summoned, but he expressed himself in a tired and repetitive way. Rana's drawings had a different character and were characterized by a rich invective and a decidedly "alternative" structural complexity. The plan is made up of the juxtaposition of different environments: a short ambulatory with lateral rooms (1), a large elliptical hall with a central plan with four concentric lateral chapels (2), a circular presbytery (3) and finally – on the back of the altar major – an apsidal chapel (4, of the Rosary) made independent from the celebrations of the church thanks to the two divergent arms outside the presbytery (5). This chapel, elevated, raises a bold roof (ribbed) of extraordinary lightness, almost sinuous and far from the austere Victorian system of juxtaposition of solids and voids. The result is a complex organism, with differentiated external volumes but unified by the twin recurrence of the buttresses and bands. The alternation of points of view, views and "movements" makes us forget the weight of the decorations typical of Rana's late and voluptuous baroque. Construction took place in the years 1764-86, under the meticulous and almost obsessive direction of Rana himself.
