The castle is located in the center of the village, on a hill overlooking the valley below and part of the town. The presence of a castle or "castrum" is mentioned as early as 1191, but the construction of the current fortress appears to date between 1454-1464 and 1489, that is, between the reign of Filippo Borromeo and that of his sons, Giovanni and Vitaliano. It is known with certainty that in 1493 the building and its grounds were inherited by Ludovico Visconti Borromeo. The old square fortress, on the northern side, features the elegant and solid forms of the original fifteenth-century structure, with beautiful pointed-arch windows softened by terracotta decorations. The castle's current appearance is the result of various renovations over the centuries, the most significant dating back to the eighteenth century. The new reconstruction was commissioned by Giulio Visconti Borromeo Arese.

The Proh Castle is located in the Novara hills, a few kilometers from Novara. It was once a place of "leisure and delights", as Francesco Sforza defined it in 1400, and today it is becoming the most important center of the brand new Cultural Park project of the Novara Hills. The UniversiCà Foundation, which already manages the Druogno Museum Center in Val Vigezzo and the Meina Museum on Lake Maggiore, is working on the recovery and enhancement of the Proh Castle, after having received it on loan from the current owners. In addition to the Castle, the Foundation is carrying out interesting restoration works of other nearby structures to create a cultural center of the highest level, in which to offer didactic, educational and knowledge of history and the territory activities. At the moment, the Castle can only be visited externally, because renovations are underway, which began in 2020, but it is already possible to participate in various cultural initiatives and guided excursions to discover the surroundings and the Novara hills.

The Air Force airport is located in the municipality of Cameri, on the state road to Bellinzago. It was home to various air departments.

Cameri airport sees its origins in 1910 thanks to the work of the French engineer Thouvenot. Cameri became a prestigious Flight School which trained many World War I pilots. The airport immediately jumped to the headlines for a remarkable feat: on July 27, 1914, for the first time in the history of aviation, an airplane flies over the Alps with a passenger on board, the Novara Giuseppe Lampugnani, known as Pinin, man of letters and high school teacher but also experienced climber. Pilot is Achille Landini, flight instructor and director of the aviation school in Cameri; the airplane is a "Gabardini 80 horsepower" called Gabarda; the route is Cameri-Viege, in Swiss territory, with a flight over the peaks of Monte Rosa. The next day the Great War broke out.
