Beautiful town center with many places to stop for refreshments. The municipality lies on a plateau between the Wetterstein Mountains and the Karwendel Mountains, on an old road from Mittenwald to Innsbruck that has been important since the Middle Ages.

A short, beautiful climb from Leutasch to the Buchener Höhe. It starts off quite relaxed with a maximum gradient of three percent. But don't be fooled: Towards the end, it climbs to ten percent.

Both the Leutasch parish church of St. Magdalena and the cemetery that goes with it are listed buildings and are well worth seeing.
