Toll road in the woods along the Isar River, very little traffic and a stunning natural setting, with glacial-colored water. Highly recommended to drive the entire route, perfect asphalt.

Great lake with good leisure activities

- Route: approx. 1.8 km, hardly any elevation gain (≈20 m) – often combined with larger loops  - Surface: asphalt, very well-developed, separated from car traffic - View: Beautiful connection between Klais and Krün/Mittenwald with a view of the Karwendel Mountains   - Komoot rating: 66 out of 72 road cyclists recommend it – "relaxed without cars" and "great views."

The Schmalensee (officially "Schmalsee") is located above the road between Mittenwald and Klais, nestled in the picturesque rolling meadows at an elevation of approximately 938 meters. It covers approximately 7 hectares, is only 2.5 meters deep, and is surrounded by reeds, meadows, and trees. The lake is privately owned and used as a fishing water – therefore, swimming is officially prohibited, even though the water quality is occasionally present.
