Neive is a splendid village located in the Western Langhe between Barbaresco and Castiglione delle Lanze, just over 10 km from Alba in the direction of Asti.

Located on the edge of the old city, this area represents an eloquent example of 19th-century urban planning and architecture. Piazza Alfieri (or Piazza del Palio) is surrounded by porticoed buildings and in its center stands the Monument to Vittorio Alfieri (1862) by Giuseppe Dini. It is also the place where the Palio di Asti takes place every third Sunday of September.
