A wonderful walking path, but not ideal for cycling (there are lots of walkers in good weather). The last section before Gandria consists of a long flight of stairs. Those traveling by bike usually leave their bikes at the bottom of the stairs and walk the rest of the way.

There are many car tunnels on the west side of Lake Como, but by bike, there's always a detour or you can ride through the old tunnel, which is only for bikes and pedestrians. This way, you can ride safely, quietly, and comfortably, and enjoy a beautiful view of the lake.

This is the highlight on the cycle path between Lake Como and Lake Lugano. (Between Porlezza and Menaggio) Absolutely great place for a break.

This is one of the highlights in the area. Past the Lago di Piano... Beautiful. Of course there are also sections that are not so great, especially near Menaggio, where it becomes more of an adventure for cyclists.
