If you're coming from Lugano and heading to Porlezza, you can avoid the tunnel by climbing onto the sidewalk. Is it possible that after years and years, they still see cyclists having to climb over the guardrail because there are NO signs for cyclists?

Beautiful cycle path, very easy, mostly asphalted, well signposted, well shaded, last km to Menaggio in contact with car traffic. Recommended!!!
