Velia, or ancient Elea, is a World Heritage monument. Walking among the ruins of this ancient Greek polis, it almost seems to hear Parmenides, Zeno and the great philosophers of the Eleatic school discussing the meaning of life. The view then from the medieval tower is breathtaking.

The Mulacchio stone is a prehistoric megalith on Monte Stella which probably served as a solar calendar and place of fertility for the ancient Cilento populations. With a ladder you can climb to the top and admire the 360 degree panorama.

The summit of Monte Stella reaches 1131 meters in height, houses a sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna della Stella and also large antennas and a radar sphere. From here you can enjoy a panoramic view of the whole Cilento area and the sea.
