In the area around Kopitzsch you can find many beautiful wooden sculptures; it's worth keeping your eyes open.

A single-nave church, its core dating from the 13th century with several alterations and extensions. It features a slate-covered western roof tower with a lantern. Inside is a pulpit altar.

But it is not the town hall of Saalfeld but of Neustadt.

A beautiful route along the Orla River and train platforms. 😁 Especially not very busy, which surprised me, but oh well 🤷. All the more peaceful for cycling 🚴‍♀️.

Hardly any traffic and therefore very quiet. Highly recommended.

This bridge was built by the last Elector of Saxony in 1552.
