The pavilion offers a sheltered place to rest. The Ranzin orchard was established in 2016 and is maintained by the Steinfurth Art and Nature Association. It features approximately 70 varieties of fruit, including walnut and sweet chestnut. We process most of the fruit into juice. Since 2021, orchard cultivation has been recognized as intangible cultural heritage in Germany and is celebrated every year on the last weekend in April when all the fruit trees are in bloom. Also visit the forest edge garden in Steinfurth, where a wild herb meadow and garden beds are bordered and interwoven with trees. Simply drive through the Karlsburg-Oldenburg Forest. The green oasis of our Hanseatic city has been revitalized in recent years. Wild growth has been removed, the animal enclosures, the pond, the drainage and the paths have been renewed. The main paths have been permanently paved with asphalt with consideration for older people and people with disabilities. Since then, the city park has enjoyed great popularity among young and old from all parts of Anklam. This facility must continue to be looked after and cared for.

There are now three new holiday apartments here. Newly renovated. They look beautiful.

Fieldstone building that was built in the 13th century as a fortified village church. The tower top with an eight-sided, copper-mounted pointed helmet is from 1861.

A barrier-free viewing platform was built at this point, which directs the view of the renatured Peene. There are also information boards available.

Until 2000, old prefabricated buildings still stood on the market square. By 2018, excavations had secured the foundations of the old town hall, which was located in the middle of the square. The prefabricated buildings were demolished and replaced by typical market buildings. The market square has inscriptions in the ground that reflect the history of Anklam and the Greifenbrunnen was placed in the middle of the square. Over the last 20 years, the market square has developed into a very beautiful central square!
