A nice relaxing place

Beautiful ride along two large rivers in the Province of Vicenza, the Brenta and the Astico, crossing the large forage fields to the northeast of Vicenza, crossed by a vast network of waterways and irrigation canals and dotted with numerous springs where the waters that come from the Vicenza Mountains return to the surface. Many places where you can taste the typical products of the place and many observation points of the wildlife that lives in the river areas. Ideal route for Gravel bikes and MTB but also very feasible with City bike type bicycles as long as they are equipped with off-road tires.

After paying €5 you can enjoy the beautiful views. The city walls, with its 32 towers, have a length of 1461 meters. Access to the walls is only possible via the tourist information point.

Equipped place for having a picnic with the family and a nice walk

A few kilometers from Padua, Vicenza and Treviso stands Cittadella, a splendid walled city of medieval origins. The walls can be visited with a panoramic walk at a height of 15 metres. Not to be missed, beyond the entrance gates to the city, are the cathedral, the town hall and the convent.

A trail with some choice points can be done on challenging passages, in case of heavy rain in autumn it is slippery due to the presence of leaves and stones, as well as mud. But in case of light rain it is well passable without getting muddy.

Among these photos I see one taken near the sign that presents the plan of the Brenta Cycle Route: obviously when a good initiative is set up there is always a monk who defaces the signs with his signature of m....!!!
