11월 9, 2025, Statua di San Folco Pellegrino
The statue does not depict Padre Pio, but rather Saint Folco Pellegrino, the town's patron saint. Saint Folco was an English hermit who lived in the 7th century. He arrived in Italy and lived in the area surrounding Santopadre, so much so that the town owes its current name to him: from "Castro Forolo" to "Santopadre," as a sign of devotion. The statue depicts Saint Folco in religious robes, with a welcoming and blessing attitude, right in the town's scenic square. Saint Folco is venerated on May 22nd and is central to the local community, which also houses his relics in the parish church. The statue commemorates his memory and protection, and is a place of prayer and tribute from the residents, as evidenced by the flowers that often adorn it. The square is an excellent vantage point for observing the Melfa Valley and the surrounding Mainarde mountains.

Isola del Liri, a city-island crossed by the Liri river, has a history that dates back to the time of the Lords of the place, the sons of the Longobard steward Pietro il Maggiore. Famous for its ancient paper industry, it is recovering its past with the "Museum of Civilization of Paper and Telecommunications". The city is notable for the suggestive "Grande" waterfall, unique of its kind in Italy, and the monumental 14th-18th century Boncompagni-Viscogliosi Castle, together with several churches and historical sites of interest.

The Casamari Abbey, located between Frosinone and Sora, is one of the most significant examples of Gothic-Burgundian architecture in Italy. Founded in 1005 by a Benedictine community, it passed to the Cistercians in 1152. The majestic church, dedicated to the Virgin of the Assumption and Saints John and Paul, was consecrated in 1217. Even today, the Cistercians live in this historic place, bearing witness to the solidity of their community and the importance of the abbey in the history of architecture in Lazio.

Isola del Liri is a famous village in the province of Frosinone. The historic city center develops on an island formed by the Liri river. Each of the two arms of the watercourse has a drop of approximately 30 meters, thus giving rise to the two characteristic waterfalls of the village: the Grande (Vertical) and that of Valcatoio (or, in ancient times, of Gualcatojo or also Cascatelle).

Located on the slopes of the Civita Falconara hill, the Castle, whose oldest parts date back to the 13th century, takes its name from the king of Naples, Ladislao I (1376-1414) of the Durazzo d'Angiò dynasty, who here, according to ancient sources , moved his court for a while. In the following centuries, the abandoned Castle suffered destruction and reconstruction, until from the 18th century and throughout the 19th century it became one of the largest wool mills in Arpino owned by the Ciccodicola family. With the industrial crisis, in the twentieth century, the Castle became the seat of an Institute for orphans of workers, then a military hospital and finally the Industrial Technical Institute for Chemists until 1985, the year in which the Provincial Administration of Frosinone, after the purchase, starts the recovery work to make it the exhibition site of the Donation and a congress center, with the aim of cultural and tourist enhancement.

7월 29, 2020, Cascata Grande di Isola del Liri
Once crossed and surrounded by the river Liri, the city was called in the past "Insula Filiorum Petri", that is, the island of the Lords of the place, the sons of the Lombard gastaldo Pietro il Maggiore, which later became Isola di Sora and, from 22 May 1869, Isola del Liri. Since the 1800s it has long been an important center of the paper industry, an activity that has left many traces even in its urban fabric. Today Isola is engaged in an operation to recover its past. The ancient Béranger-Coste paper mill was later brought to light, later Lefebvre, which will become the seat of the "Museum of the Civilization of Paper and Telecommunications", where you can relive the centenary paper tradition of Isola del Liri. Attractiveness, which mobilizes visitors from all over the world, is the suggestive "Grande" waterfall: in the center of the town it takes a jump of about 30 m., Thus constituting a unique case in Italy. On the top of the place stands the medieval Boncompagni-Viscogliosi Castle, a national monument (14th-18th centuries). Remodeled several times, it preserves inside, in the Sala degli Stucchi, 18 high reliefs depicting the domains of the Boncompagni family as they were at the beginning of the seventeenth century. Among the churches we point out that of S. Lorenzo Martire, sec. XVII, which houses an altarpiece (16th century), frescoes and wooden statues from different periods and a large organ; the Church of S. Maria delle Forme in Gothic style, undergoing renovation; of S. Antonio which preserves an SS. Crucifix so dear to the islanders; of S. Maria dei Fiori with the bronze bells (1930-40) of the local foundry "Antonio Loffredo". Interesting are the remains of a watchtower on the San Sebastiano hill, and of the other so-called "di Cicerone" in loc. Carnello, in whose district, where Fibreno enters Liri, was the paternal villa of the great orator. One of the most stylistically significant abbeys in Italy and therefore certainly worth visiting is the Casamari Abbey, located in the far eastern territory of the municipality of Veroli, along the Via Mària, halfway between Frosinone and Sora. It stands out, imposing and solitary, close to a rocky hill bordered by the Amaseno stream, which in ancient times marked the border between the Ernici and the Volsci, at 300 meters above sea level. It was built on the ruins of the ancient Roman municipality of Cereatae Marianae (of which the aqueduct that served it is still visible), so named in honor of the goddess Ceres, to whom the place was consecrated, and of the valiant Roman general, Caius Marius, who he was born here and spent the first years of his youth.
