From Vico nel Lazio or Collepardo, the old road to Trisulti is a short but challenging stretch of road on a mule track. An e-bike and a fair amount of experience are not enough to complete it in the saddle; there are steep or extremely bumpy sections where you'll have to get off and push your bike... Or maybe not, if you're interested and want to try something better 😁. Riding it, it's easy to imagine people from ancient times who perhaps faced this challenge daily, relying on donkeys or mules.

The charterhouse is immersed in pristine nature. A good stop, even just to refill your water supply at the fountain in front of the charterhouse. On both the Veroli and Collepardo sides, there are many paved roads and trails, some of which are technical, for exploring the Ernici mountains.

Quiet ride

The last Carthusian died a few years ago and now the charterhouse is just a monument to visit, but it is still worth it. The church, also beautiful, is still consecrated.
