To climb towards Cima Pantani from Contrada Taverna, below Campodimele, take Via Pozzo Largo and follow a pleasant little road immersed in the peace of nature until you enter a small wood. The road is narrow but well paved. I recommend it as a variant to the climb, for the Cima, from Fondi. Once you get there, you can continue towards Lenola and then quickly descend towards Fondi

Right in front of the eastern beach or “spiaggetta”. There is also a fountain to fill your water bottle

The SR637 that connects Lenola to Vallecorsa is beautiful, it is pleasant both uphill (from Lenola) and downhill (from Vallecorsa), relaxing and fun, the eyes get lost in the valley

Splendid abbey in Romanesque Gothic Cistercian style, it dominates the valley below.

From the terrace, right in front of the facade, you can admire a spectacular view of the sea and enjoy magnificent sunsets

The Abbey of Valvisciolo was built around the year 1100. It is the oldest church in Cistercian Gothic style built in local limestone. The Cistercian architectural style follows the admonition of the "Memento mori" The cloister is particularly fascinating. Each of the capitals of the two-row columns that outline the courtyard is decorated differently. There are acanthus leaves and animals typical of the medieval bestiary

The Cistercian abbey where Saint Thomas Aquinas died, located not far from the Via Appia and the Via Francigena, the roads that connected Rome with the East and Jerusalem in the medieval period.
